We are currently in the process of updating Oktibbeha County's Hazard Mitigation Plan and need your input!
We need your input on concerns regarding hazards identified in the plan!
Your insight and perspective on hazards identified in the plan would be greatly appreciated.
Hazard mitigation is defined as any substantial action taken to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from the effects of natural hazards in a community. The purpose of the Hazard Mitigation Plan is to identify and implement cost-effective hazard mitigation measures through a comprehensive approach known as hazard mitigation planning. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requires hazard mitigation plans to be updated every five years.
I have the link below for the District 4 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update for you to review, but more importantly, the Oktibbeha Annex. We will be sharing this annex on media platforms and displaying it for public comments in February.
There is also a link below for you to provide comments on the plan.
Thank you for your assistance.
